How to read your analytics
What each number means, where it comes from, and when to trust it.
Open Analytics
What each tile means
Views
How many times your posts were watched.
Only TikTok and YouTube share views.
Instagram does not share views with sprkly yet.
Engagement
Every reaction we can see, added up.
Likes, comments and shares are all reactions.
Avg / post
Engagement divided by posts.
One post sent to many accounts counts as one post.
Platforms share different numbers, so compare with care.
Top account
Your best account on each platform.
TikTok and YouTube are ranked by views.
Instagram is ranked by engagement.
We do not pick one winner across platforms. The numbers are not the same kind.
What counts as engagement
Instagram: likes and comments.
TikTok: likes, comments and shares.
YouTube: likes and comments.
Each platform shares different numbers.
So a TikTok total and an Instagram total are not the same kind of number.
Why Instagram shows no views
Instagram has not given sprkly that permission yet.
Likes and comments are counted.
Views will show up here once Instagram says yes.
Until then, Instagram can look weaker than TikTok or YouTube.
That is a gap in the numbers, not in your posts.
Threads and Facebook
Threads and Facebook do not share any numbers with sprkly yet.
You can still post to them with sprkly.
Those posts do not change any number on this page.
How often numbers update
Numbers update every 3 hours.
Press Sync now to update them sooner.
Older posts stop updating after your newest 20 or so per platform.
An older post keeps the last number we saw.
Posts you made before sprkly
Older Instagram and TikTok posts you made before sprkly are counted too.
sprkly finds them on your account and brings them in.
They show up in your totals and in your top posts.
What week on week compares
Compares the last 7, 30 or 365 full days with the same number of days before.
It counts the views and engagement that came in during those days.
Posts means posts you made in those days.
Today is left out, so the number holds all day.
It needs daily numbers for both sides. Until then it says "Not enough history yet".
Month on month and year on year work the same way.
Year on year needs two years of daily numbers.
It needs enough activity in the earlier period.
With too little, it says "Too little activity to compare".
How many posts you made does not block it. The counts are shown for context.
A big jump from a tiny number is not shown as a percent. It would mislead you.
Best hour and best day
They show when your posts did best.
Times are in your timezone.
If you have not set a timezone, they are in UTC. The chart says which.
One lucky post can pick the winner.
Best hour needs at least 3 posts in that hour to mean much.
With very few posts, treat it as a hint, not a rule.
